The clouds roll in over the "Windy City," rippling like the surface of a gentle tide as they reflect along the curved spine of what is arguably the city's most famous landmark, the "Cloud Gate" — more commonly known as "The Bean." Sculptor Anish Kapoor designed the iconic structure to engage the Chicago skyline so that onlookers would see clouds floating in, as well as the surrounding buildings, reflected in his work. "Since it is in the form of a gate, the participant, the viewer, will be able to enter into this very deep chamber that does, in a way, the same thing to one’s reflection as the exterior of the piece is doing to the reflection of the city around.” Do you think he was successful?
